For awhile now my buddies Ty McNutt, Mason Rojas and I have been hooked on G-Eazy and we always said if he ever came up to the Northwest we would for sure make the trip to see him. We got super lucky a few weeks ago and saw that he was having a northwest mini-tour where he was preforming at WSU one night then playing a show in Spokane at the Knitting Factory the next night. We couldn't figure out which show to go to at first so we just bossed up and decided to hit back to back nights and party with G-Eazy which is where the Three Man G-Eazy tour name came to life. For the second show in Spokane we were able to get VIP tickets which gave us a poster, lanyard, and a meet and greet with G himself. I didn't really know what to expect from meeting him but he actually turned out to be super laid back and made time to have a real conversation with us. We talked with him about how the night before at WSU was crazy, about the Jays we were all wearing and he even asked us what songs he should play that he didn't play at the WSU show. Oddly enough he played the three songs we told him we wanted to hear which were Fried Rice, Downtown Love, and Marilyn. It may have been a crazy coincidence but we think we had a little something to do with the setlist for the show in Spokane ;)

Adidas Stan Smith
So I had been peeping the Adidas Stan Smith collection for awhile on the internet and I had always liked them. After looking at my heavily Nike dominated sneaker collection I decided to cop my first pair of Adidas…ever. I guess its true what they say about brand loyalty because I was all Nike or nothing for awhile. But, I am glad I stepped out of my sneaker comfort zone and went with these joints because Adidas executed them flawlessly. The price of these was a nice switch up as well. Instead of paying $200 or more for a pair of jays these Stan Smiths were a light cop for around $75 and I couldn't be happier with them.

Summer Whites
For some reason every time I am planning an outfit this summer I am always drawn to both of these white, high top sneakers. With the Air Force 1 highs on the left and the all white Vans Sk8 Hi's on the right, both of these sneakers can be worn with basically anything. I usually keep the AF1 with pants just because they don't look as high but the Vans can be worn with pants or with shorts. If you need some shoes that can be easily worn I wouldn't hesitate to go with either of these two.

July 15, 2014 - My First Pair of Cons!
I finally got my first pairs of Converse! I had been meaning to pull the trigger on these for what seems like forever. I think they are best worn (for guys) in the summertime with the mid length nike socks. I decided to keep my colors neutral with different shades of grey and of course a black zip tee from The Narrows that can be found exclusively at Urban Outfitters. The heat is a heavy obstacle when planning an outfit of the day especially when all I want to wear black clothes but these cons were too good to not rock for the day.

2014 World Cup Team USA Must Haves
About every four years or so the sleeping giant of United States soccer fans awaken to come together and decide that the most popular sport in the world is actually worth paying attention to…but only for about a month or until the US National team is eliminated. Theres really nothing wrong with that. Americans are winners and as Americans it is our duty to support the stars and bars as prideful and as arrogant as we can. Its not disrespectful, its American. So if you decide to root for our team during the World Cup this year (which you probably will) make sure to cop these items so you can fit in with the rest of the die hard (or not so much) United States Soccer fans that have emerged once again.

Slept On Sneakers: Jordan 1 OG "Shadow"
Being released on the same weekend as the Jordan 4 "Toro Bravo" the Jordan 1 OG "Shadow" was undoubtedly the most slept on sneaker of 2013. While everyone was going crazy for the Toro 4s due to the all red material they boast, the OG shadow 1s were the real gem of that weekend because of their versatility with outfits and sleek style. Obviously they eventually sold out but not nearly as quick as they should have. Check out the pictures below featuring myself, J Cole and ASAP Rocky. Rapper Trinidad James knew from the get go that these would be a hit as he was quoted saying "The resale price for Blk and grey 1s is gonna be $450. Trust me." Although the resale hasn't reached that level they can still be found on Ebay going for $300+.

DIY: How To Make Your Own Distressed Denim
- Your denim of choice
- Razor or cutting knife
- Ballpoint pen
- Cardboard
- Shaving Razor
Step One:
So grab your ball point pen and start marking areas on your denim where you want there are be holes and other distress. I put my shorts on for this to get a better ida of wear I want the rips to be on my and to see where my shorts fit me but it shouldn't matter whether you wear them for this or keep them on your workspace.
Step Two:
This is where the razor blade and cardboard come into play. After you have mapped out where you want your distress to be on the denim slip the cardboard into the pant leg where you want to make incisions then start cutting but PLEASE BE SAFE. I usually go about a half inch between each slit (as you can see in picture two) to really get that worn out look) but be creative and do whatever feels right to you.
Step Three (Optional):
Step three is optional because this all depends on how much detail you want in your denim. I wanted to add smaller distressed marks throughout my denim to make it look even more worn out but it is completely up to you. Around the bottom of my shorts I wanted them to look worn out so I made slits and used a shaving razor to fray the denim around selected areas of my shorts.
Step Five:
This isn't the last step but we are getting closer to the end. After making all of your incisions, frays, and tears that looks good to you it is time to throw them in the washer and dryer. Twice. You must wash and dry them a total of two times back to back to get the distressed, worn out look.

Artists You Need To Know: G-Eazy
Hailing from the Bay area of California, Gerald Gillium (more commonly known as G-Eazy) brings a super unique sound to a rap game that seems overran by a number of artists that all sound the same. G-Eazy pairs his slick raps that always come off smooth with some dope choruses that make you want to lean back and just vibe to the music. Theres no doubt that G-Eazy will be at the top of the charts and is a must watch as his new album These Things Happen available for preorder here as it drops officially on June 23rd. Mark your calendars for the release of the album and check the links to his music videos that are posted below.

Spring/Summer Outfit Ideas
KNYEW T-shirt, Hype Sweat shorts, Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse "Volt" |
With the constant change in spring weather you may have a problem deciding what to wear. The emergence of sweat shorts in mens fashion that are a must buy for those days its colder in the morning and hot as shit in the afternoon. I like to wear a lot of basic long tees or ones with a cool graphic to catch the eyes of people. Also just like every other day of the year, your shoe game needs to be on point always.
